Raines Feldman Littrell LLP announced that an experienced attorney who’s spent over 25 years working on a wide range of corporate and restructuring matters has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner from Loeb & Loeb LLP.
Karl Block joined Raines Feldman earlier this month after spending the previous 19 years with Loeb & Loeb. He said
Karl Block in a statement Friday that he was drawn to the role at Raines Feldman because of the firm’s focus on collaboration along with the strength of its attorneys.
“Raines is a dynamic, growing law firm with high energy and highly motivated lawyers,” Block said. “I was drawn to the collaborative and congenial environment as well as the great minds and sophisticated practices of the firm. They have built a tremendously positive environment, where respect is at a premium and the attorneys and staff have great enthusiasm for the work and culture.”
A graduate of the University of Southern California‘s Gould School of Law, Block represents corporate clients in areas such as technology, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and cannabis with matters related to mergers and acquisitions, financings, governance, restructurings, and strategic transactions, Raines Feldman said.
Along with his time with Loeb & Loeb, Block spent seven years at Greenberg
Glusker LLP, and Raines Feldman added that for the last few years, he’s hosted a podcast called The Block and Tackle Show, which focuses on emerging issues in law, entrepreneurship and leadership.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Karl to Raines,” managing partner Jonathan Littrell, said in a statement. “He brings not only legal excellence, but a creative spirit that aligns with our culture of mentorship, collaboration, and growth. Karl is someone who shows up with curiosity and intention — traits that resonate deeply across our team.”
Raines Feldman was first founded in 2006 and since starting with a single attorney, it’s grown to feature over 100 attorneys across seven offices in Boca Raton, Florida, Chicago, Los Angeles, Newport Beach, California, New York, Pittsburgh and Wilmington, Delaware, according to the firm’s website.
Block wasn’t immediately available for comment Monday.
