Overview
Joe LaPlaca is a trial lawyer who focuses his practice on business litigation in both state and federal courts. He provides businesses and their executives, shareholders, officers, and directors with strategic legal counsel and effective, practical solutions.
Joe has successfully litigated a broad range of commercial matters including contract, partnership, and real estate disputes, unfair competition claims, breach of fiduciary duty and restrictive covenant litigation, and tort actions. Beyond litigation, Joe has significant experience negotiating government contracts. He is known for his relentless commitment to helping clients achieve their business goals.
During law school, Joe served as a legal writing assistant and competed and placed nationally on several Moot Court, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Arbitration teams. Joe was also a member of the Moot Court Honors Council and externed for the Honorable Judge Melissa A. Durkin of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
