Mr. Gestrich is a Patent Attorney in the firm’s Pittsburgh office and a member of the Complex Litigation group. Mr. Gestrich concentrates his practice on federal and state complex commercial and intellectual property litigation. He represents clients across a spectrum of practice areas, including class actions, insurance litigation, trade secret litigation, patent litigation, contract disputes. In addition to his litigation representation, Mr. Gestrich also prepares and prosecutes patent and trademark applications.

Mr. Gestrich clerked the Honorable Peter J. Phipps of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Prior to his appellate clerkship, he clerked for Judge Phipps in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Gestrich was a research and development chemist. He is a named inventor on several patents relating to photochromic materials.
